I seem to be wrong about “needing to go bigger” i enjoy the little parts and pieces Matt uses throughout his writing. It really centers the whole story to the floor while keeping the bigger picture in line with “the crawl”

I can feel the story building up to a huge climax soon, but I can’t help but wonder if it’s being oversold since this is book 5. Like the Fast and Furious franchise, I hope we don’t go off the rails in a bad way.

I love Donut’s progression throughout the books, but I especially loved the author pulling her back down a few notches and playing on the pet abandonment strings.
