Ok I think i know what is wrong with these books like why they annoy me. Apparently i hate characters like Auren that play into their helplessness and overthink out loud. The first 2 books could have EASILY been one single book.

But ok if ‘all is mind’ and her inner dialogue is always VICTIM- coded well it s freaking annoying

And you’d ask well if u were in her place…
Stockholm syndrome and all but NOPE
