This book has some very clear blind spots, and at times the author’s politics needlessly shines through. I would recommend skipping the entire chapter on the Boxer Rebellion due to factual - and even spelling - errors. It’s quite bad at points.

And please, if you want to refer to a genocided people, don’t call them a racists term. They are khoekhoe, not hottentots, you goof.
