I was struck by how odd the cast of characters is. Unlikely you would have anything like this today. A clumsy house keeper. A sea captain uncle who is never there that the girls live with. His sister who is there. A stuttering handy man. And the girls go to a ritzy private girls school. The privilege is pretty in your face. Their parents must have been the wealthy ones because I don’t think Uncle Ned makes this much.
