I stg this book was written by someone who wanted to write Carlisle Cullen smut with a vampire diaries vibe… all in all, the plot is very much giving old money vampires so I do enjoy that- I am annoyed with how the 22 year old FMC is being infantilized to make her seem more “innocent.” It’s kind of yucky bc the MMC is like 1,400 years old.

So if I had to pinpoint the age of this author without looking I’d say elder millennial… the novel unironically uses words like “cop-block” and the dynamic between the FMC and her roommates, who are supposed to be COLLEGE age, is giving teenage at best… like they see their friend bring the MMC into her room and they’re like sitting her down having a play by play… are we twenty two or fifteen 🤡

The lines in this book are cringe gold 😂 literally it’s the FMC casually dropping words like “hangry” for me… and the way that the characters, esp the MMC describe feelings related to sex should be a crime to write on the page 💀

This book is literally so funny 😂 I love how I can tell it’s written by a millennial because we have gold dialogue like the main characters using “Mr cranky pants” and “he was pushing buttons I didn’t even know I had in my system.” Also the common trope of big aggressive shadow daddy and teensy tiny petite girl is so funny to me everytime it’s used 😂 the plot is something out of vampire diaries

It’s giving vampire diaries fan fiction in the most entertaining way 😂 and yes, we can be assured that the vamp MMC who lives in the Florida keys is, indeed, filthy rich 😂 FMC is really really annoying, the way she talks is so odd for a twenty two year old… deadahhh just looked at someone and said “excuse me, I need to use the little girls room.” Girl whatttttt… but interesting so far
