Can I be honest? I refused to read Sally Rooney for years because I felt like people who loved her were the pretentious sort of readers who look down on romance/genre (I’m mainly talking reviewers and podcasters and not necessarily friends), but I finally decided to try her out and yup- I like it. Not a 5 star, but looking like a 4 lol
