So what happens is an Eagle/pigeon named “Big Boy” took Magnus on an adventure and ended up telling him how he could possibly find the sword. Ran the goddess has it so to get it he must go fishing with Harald to get her attention and an apple for Big Boy. Sam reveals she’s going to have an arranged marriage, and they have an eventful time fishing and what they catch is the massive World Serpent.

So they run into Sam as they’re all looking for the sword. She already had hurt Hearth and they had enough of her. Then Mimir/Capo reveals the plans that Surt is looking for the sword to free Fergus and start Ragnarok/doomsday. So it’s up to Magnus and his group to find the sword first and stop Surt for the time being

Long break from reading but picking it back up, Magnus is able to escape Valhalla with Blitz and Hearth. He finds out they were called by the Capo to protect him and acted homeless to befriend him. Now the mission is for Magnus to get the sword back

Gunilla gives Magnus a tour but she also continues to take shots at Sam and Loki. She feels like Sam brought in Magnus to cause trouble since she was the child of Loki. She feels like Sam worked with Hearthstone and Blitzen to get him to Valhalla. Also afterwards Magnus encounters Hearthstone and Blitzen and they’re going to search for the sword despite Gunilla saying otherwise.

Magnus interacts with his hall mates and also questions what was meant by the 9 days. Apparently he learns from Loki that that’s the amount of time before the Wolf(Loki’s son) will be cut loose. Also Surt still wants the sword and it’s revealed Fery made errors with the sword leading to Magnus having it. He needs to not focus on what he wants like his father did

So dinner mostly takes place but then the newcomers stories are shown as you must show bravery to be in Valhalla. Sam gets worried since the video of Magnus does not do him or her justice. They question her decision of bringing him in seeing his edited death and ultimately she is removed from the Valkyries unfairly. Also it’s revealed Magnus is the son of Frey and he has to find the sword to make things right.

So yes Magnus died but he still lives on. He’s in the hotel Valhalla where he has the largest room he’s ever had. The hotel is for people that died heroically and he keeps questioning why he’s there and sad his mother isn’t there. He also encounters the lady(her name is Sam) that was at the sight on the bridge as she is his Valkyrie. Next up will be dinner this shall be fun to see play out

Magnus dies from a grapple off the bridge with Surt. This was because Surt wanted the sword but Magus was not giving it up. Randolph told him to leave but Magnus wanted to protect the sword and others on the bridge, including Randolph and his friends. Also, Randolph revealed that Magnus’ father is a Norse god and has info about his mother’s death and how he’s been searching for him. I’m so invested now

Basically through the first two chapters we learn about Magnus being homeless and about his family. Apparently Annabelle and Fredrick are searching for him and in contact with Randolph. But when Magnus snoops around the house he is caught and seen by Randolph
