Good start- gonna be slow read. Had to google racial stratification
Good so far:
In the 70s criminologists suggested we get rid of prisons and thought they’d be gone by now
The US incarcerates 8 times more of its population than Germany, and more of its racial minority than any other country
Something about the system requiring racial indifference instead of bigotry or hate but I couldn’t find the quote
