simultaneously punishing and refreshing. im sure such jarringly silly "naive" dialogue is available elsewhere, in infinite quantity, but its juxtaposition with uli's bizarre prose makes it something very special. ive been laughing aloud but not with scorn. theres something to admire here and perhaps even something to aspire to (says a guy who writes overly descriptive prose and beavis/butthead quality dialogue)
