I just watched the two pride and prejudice adaptation proposal scenes to recontexualise this Darcy’s love confession and this one is actually so similarly bad 😭😭 maybe im petty but him starting of saying she’s not beautiful would piss me off so bad that I don’t think I would ever come back from that. Like canonically it means he thinks Jane is pretty yet Liz is ugly and then he gets with her?
