i cant imagine having to watch what was once a life you would’ve been part of just pass you by so quickly. watching the people you love grow old while you stay stagnant and distant.

very interested in ruth’s perspective. i like that she has a connection to susie salmon like no other, she never had a close relationship with her until she was already gone. she was literally touched by salmon as her spirit left the earth. connected by death is a very profoundly tragic trope.

i watched the movie beforehand, already it is vastly different and more graphic. i have high hopes.
