Omg I was driving myself crazy that I had heard this story before. Verbatim. Googled it and found out that the author loosely based this novel off of his experiences moving to rural oregon, which he chronicled on Reddit and I stumbled upon a few years ago and was INVESTED. So excited to listen to the rest!
