Day 1: Third mansion complete. One of the great concepts of theological writing is Teresa's Castle. Your soul created material, your life redefined spiritual, and your journey continuously deeper towards salvation. But what I love most about the first three "mansions" has been the tone of Teresa's monologue. A conflicting duality, at once authoritatively commanding and confessionally insecure. So it is to believe.

Day 2: Complete "fifth mansion". Devastatingly honest. Teresa's use of the silkworm, a metaphor of rigorous work, personal transformation, and necessary self-sacrifice (if not outright self-annihilation) that is needed to reach closer to a higher plane was intensely impactful. Take nothing, give everything.
