Am I surprised that Richard Chizmar is bringing the EXACT tone of The Stand? No, no I'm not.

Ooo, I've never read from C. Robert Cargill before, but I loved that story! I'll need to look into Cargill's work.

Eric (Constant Reader) I secretly hope that King lets Chizmar continue to expand the Dark Tower universe. He’s so good

Ooo, Eric, I could get behind that idea. Did you read Hill's King Sorrow? There were certain mentions in there where I was like, wait a minute, is this a passing of the torch with the Dark Tower? Either way, I'd love to legacy to be passed on to someone. The possibilities are endless.
