I find this book to be very similar to the Six of Crows books with many of the same character traits and plot points but it's still unique in this own way. I am yet again getting way too emotionally attached to these characters, help!

I love the way this book is written, the author puts so much thought into detail and descriptions. In these latest chapters I read, the vivid imagery makes me feel like I'm truly inside the story and witnessing the events as they play out. I am loving this book so far and would highly recommend!

Almost half way through the book! The plot is thickening, we finally meet the antagonist of the story known as the Gray King. He has been lurking in the corners of the story so far as somewhat of a phantom, but he has now appeared to Locke with a special request that could determine Locks life or death.

The last chapter covered a lot about the hierarchy and society of thieves and gangs in Camorr and how it creates a sort of government. It's a really disruptive book but it sometimes makes it hard to describe what happened in the chapter.

Not much happend in this last chapter, it mainly went into a lot of detail on the social structure and hierarchy of Camorr as well as the rules of and restrictions of being a thief or part of a gang.

I was very surprised by this last chapter, it seems like Locks cover is about to be blown but turns out he's the one behind all of it and using more of his skills to create a larger and more complicated scheme! Can't wait to find out what happens next!

So far I'm very intrigued by this book. The first few chapters switch between the present and Locke's past, alternating between his many acts of theft.
