why does bracken make the action scenes so short ?????? I get that they’re in and out in 10 minutes, which is crazy, but I really wanted more of this before going back to the same HQ we’ve been at the whole book. There was little to no tension. It went perfectly. I was bored.

FINALLY, Ruby’s talking things through with SOMEONE. Idk why it has to be Zu, the 11-12 year old to get her to budge, but whatever. Part of me understands Ruby isn’t thinking straight and another is SO annoyed. I could’ve told you that 60 pages ago, Ruby.

I have decided I really don’t like the way the author reveals things. She tells you absolutely nothing about the “memories” Ruby is going thru. theyre sad, but nothing is shocking to me. If Lillian conducted the research and I were Clancy, I’d do the exact same thing. But I don’t like how one page later, she’s saying “I know where Lillian is. And oh yeah, she’s with the league”. Ruins shock for me.
