Stream of consciousness is not my favorite genre. This one is quite easy to follow, however, as Joana tends to think complete thoughts vs. fragments. There is also a vestige of a plot.

I am curious about this author but I don’t really like stream of consciousness. I’ll wait to see your final review.

Very short book, only about 200 pages, and moves well. There is enough of a plot to give it some sense of cohesiveness. I'm about halfway there, so we will see, Antoinette.
This would be just the book for you, Julio, and I won't argue your premise. Enjoying it depends on the skill of the author, but it often requires more concentration than I am anxious to give in order to follow it, particularly when there is very little plot to move me along to the author's intended destination. I confess to getting better with it as I continued to read Woolf.
