whew, i’ve cried more times than i care to admit… and i’m not even halfway into the book 😭 for sandy, for maitland, for the young lives lost at the hands of an unnecessary war. for the lovers who’s time got cut short.
only thing keeping me hopeful is knowing ellwood and gaunt will reunite soon
