Here it goes again.. Bad research
A PO mentions Ft Custer & that a character who is active duty Army was stationed there before sent to Iraq (1993 - Iraq, no not possible. Middle East, yes) That’s it! I wanted to throw the book in the trash. Not to mention Ft. Custer is solely a training facility & since WWII has no active duty stationed. I know -I live in the same city. Arggghhhh

The bad geography again. I don’t want to give anything away but the city of Midland, MI was mentioned and in the character thoughts that serves as story narration she thinks “Midland was farther south, almost at the Indiana border”. WRONG! Midland is in the crook of the thumb about smack dab middle of state (on East). Further North than Ann Arbor. It’s 2.5 hrs to state line.. Ohio state line! IN is not close!

I'm already mad at this book. It's set in MI & a couple from Ann Arbor are going to a cabin on Lake MI. Supposedly they are close but they turned off the highway onto a backroad. Fine..except it was I-75. Obvious author does not know Mi. You would never call that area off 75 close to Lake Mi the “shoreline” They would have been going “Up North”. Lake Mi “shoreline” would be West Side of state.
