I have just picked this book back up after a long hiatus, and I now have a second son snoozing on my chest while I read. This book is full of very practical tips, backed by science, for how to understand and relate to boys.

I have moved in to part two about the boy’s mind and brain, which I am finding much more helpful than the long portion on the many struggles to come at each stage of a boy’s life. I’m honestly wishing I had skipped some of that and come back to it when my son is closer to those stages.

The authors have dived right in to the teen and young adult years in a way that has me seriously scared for what is to come. I hope that the rest of the book offers some uplifting, helpful pointers.

It took me a while to build up the courage to pick up this book, because I have a feeling this is going to challenge me in how I parent my son.

Hannah Schnetz Since I'm on a "raising boys" kick anyway, I'm adding this to the list! ;P

Rebekah Schnetz Annie has read it all the way through, so she would have a better review of this book! I am finding helpful tips but also got very overwhelmed by some of the teen sections.
