Excellent opening chapter. VERY spooky.
This world building is so fucking interesting... I keep backing up the audiobook to make sure I understood the tidbits of info that get dropped. Takes a little bit to grasp all the terms, but I like that it makes you pay attention to piece it together rather than just info dumping right at the start.
