In the Flesh - This was a good story. Again a bit weird, but aren’t all Barker’s stories weird?
It was creepy and being someone that regularly has night terrors and sees shadows in the middle of the night. It rubbed my fear button just right!

Babel’s Children - I’ve got mixed feelings about that one. At first I found the premise quite stupid, but then after a bit of time I thought it was pretty interesting…. And quite true…. I obviously don’t want to give any spoilers, but I will say that I do agree. Better the frogs. ⭐️⭐️⭐️

The Madonna - That was…. That was weird.
It began with basically a scumbag heading back to a deserted building to have sex with a naked 15 year old he’d found. At that point I was wondering if I really want to read this?
Thankfully it took a turn. An absolutely crazy turn. I can’t put into words what happened. Certainly not as eloquently as Barker. You’ll just have to read it . ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The Forbidden - Candyman is the movie that truly birthed my love for horror.
It wasn’t until I started reading when I was in my mid 20’s that I found out Candyman was based on a short story by Barker. I don’t know why it’s taken me until now to read it. Being honest I’m quite surprised at how much additional content the movie adds.
Did I like this short story? Yes.
Do I like the movie more? Definitely.
