Not enjoying this book, specifically the writing as the author continues to write from a child/teen perspective while having the characters think and act with more maturity than I’d expect from a 40 year old adult. While I understand both main characters are in foster care and supposed to be a bit more mature, their behavior and line of thinking goes beyond a child in hard times, which is very off-putting.
