Sometimes the humor in this book is so dumb. (The bit with the two astronauts being weird about sharing their sex lives? Is especially weird on the audiobook because nobody talks like that). I’m having fun with it though

Andy Weir books are super engaging but they have this 60 year old man energy that I find oddly fascinating. Like he doesn’t “localize” to the future at all. His characters are from my dad’s era despite being theoretically from the future. I haven’t found this books equivalent of the disco thing from the Martian yet but the way he talks about news is out of date for 2026 let alone the future.
