This book is making me feel lazy. Pa is out there continually hunting and setting traps in the woods, and he butchers a pig, skins a deer, and then heartily plays the fiddle every evening. And Ma is churching her own butter and making headcheese for the girls. Oh, and Laura has a “doll” made out of a corncob and a dishrag, so there’s that.
