It's a shame that people only know the JFK as his manufactured legacy rather than the actual man, because the actual man is very interesting. I always knew he was a fuckup in Congress, as well as a war hero. I didn't realise he was that much of a fuckup in congress, and *that* much of a war hero. He swam for 8 hours while carrying a wounded soldier with him by biting down on the strings of his life vest as he swam.
