The Piazza was an exasperating read up until the last 2-3 pages. It was excruciatingly wordy and boring.
Bartleby gets 5 stars.
Benito Cereno: Another example of Melville going on and on, and then finally bringing it all together and illustrating a point as he wraps up. This one gets you thinking, though.
The Lightning-Rod Man: People hate on this one, but I loved it and got a lot out of it. A personal favorite.
