Komjathay presents a translation of the Daoist Horse Taming Pictures replete with commentary and critical essays. he draws a lineage from the Chan Buddhist Ox Taming Pictures, and the Horse Taming pictures themselves are attributed to Gao Daokuan - a Daoist monk of the Complete Perfection order. The "wild horse" or horse-thought of the poems which accompany the picture is habituated thought.
