The first chapter is a characteristic left wing screed against Russia and the 2022 invasion of Ukraine. That is not to say Russia and its leadership did nothing wrong, or that the war was justified. However, the glaring lack of objectivity and reliance and emotional sensationalism leaves the reader wondering about the rest of the piece.
