You should not add the sons' 2 stolen sheep to the 27 sheep paid; those 2 sheep are already included in the 27 sheep.The actual math should track where the original 30 sheep went:25 sheep are with the troll.2 sheep were stolen by the sons.3 sheep were returned to the herders.25 + 2 + 3 = 30 sheep.
