also have been loving the highlight feature of reading on a kobo but keep returning the books before i remember to look back on what i highlighted. this quote made me lol, she’s been told by her therapist to treat herself like she treats people she loves, and says

“I unearthed a bag of navel oranges in the back of the fridge and force-fed them to myself. I should have just eaten one, but I consumed several. I now have heartburn, and my mouth feels irritated by the citric acid. I don’t know why I did this to myself. I would never feed someone I love seven oranges.”
