It has all the hallmarks of romance (lingering/awestruck gazes, unable to think clearly in each other’s presence, physical motif with significance, etc), but the actual romance that exists is WEAK as hell. Bristol fighting her feelings would make more sense if she hadn’t suggested a clean slate when they resolved his mistake he made 6 YEARS AGO. Either enforce your boundaries or be with him 🙄

Idk the fact that she knows so little about his family when she’s his friend, her brother is his best friend, and he’s open about that in his music too is kinda 🤨
but to openly and repeatedly say she only wants friendship when at the same time she is noticeably attracted to and has feelings for him just makes me irritated with her. There’s no reason 6 years later for either of them to be holding on to THIS

Also very annoyed by her parents and her mother especially—you can’t attribute “loving too much” to yourself and in the same breath tell your daughter she would let somebody walk all over her and not have respect for herself. The mother is talking about herself and rather than using some of those millions to get therapy, she takes out her pain and shame at being cheated on again and again on her daughter 🤨

I didn’t see why Grip felt justified in pushing for a romantic reunion when Bristol outlined why it wasn’t good for her or their situation:
1. You lied; it don’t matter that you wanted to breakup with your girlfriend, you still lied about the situation
2. It was one week two years ago, definitely not enough to create extra friction in the present especially where their livelihoods are concerned
3. She said no.
