I can’t believe it has been only a year since the event of last issue. Soluna seems all grown up. But I guess taking on the moon duty and concocting a plan to kill and overthrow your father can make you age up in no time. It seems like there’s still some spores left inside of Soluna that even Fniff couldn’t (or maybe wouldn’t?) get out.

This story will stay with me. I loved the writing and the art is to die for (I liked Max Fiumara’s art in particular, it has so much soul! But even André Lima Araújo’s is good too).

Pigeon and Soluna’s relationship is so sweet, though we haven’t seen much of it I can say with certainty that they’re perfect for each other. And I had a feeling that their story was heading down that path from the earlier issues. Maybe the new generation will do better…maybe things will stay the same, only time will tell.

Beatrice’s face when she saw Soluna dead and her nephews crying by her bedside was haunting. I’m glad that Beatrice didn’t kill them. And it is good that they’re helping! But I have one question: how did that kid (I don’t know which is which) grow plants? I thought that was Fniff’s domain? But I liked the ending overall. It’s very bittersweet. With an undercurrent of melancholy. What a wonderful story.

What an ending! I teared up. Pigeon’s life was so horrible, from the beginning to the end. I lost it when he broke his principles and made the elixir to save his wife (Soluna), only for it to not work and for her to die anyway. And then there’s the fact the Soluna never got to read his letter. What a tragedy his life has been! I loved the art in this issue!

I wonder what will Pigeon do, I have no idea. P.S. the sky chariots look so cool! Will Pigeon take a sacrifice too? It’d make Soluna younger probably healing her. Oh my God. If that happens I will lose it.

I feel so bad for Pigeon! He and Soluna did a beautiful job raising their kids, he is nothing like his father it makes tear up. I absolutely understand why he doesn’t want his boys to work and do the same job their mother does. Soluna using the last of her strength to wake up and say goodbye to her husband and kids made me tear up, she just wants them to grow up safely with their father.

This is just unfortunate. I feel so so bad for Pigeon! He finally had a family but it is all going downhill. Soluna’s health deteriorated beyond any help & now she lies on her death bed. & the people have rebelled (not that I blame them) and destroyed his life work! The cloud seeder that was meant to bring them rain. & on top of that, it is his little sister, Beatrice leading the charge. It is all so heartbreaking!

Soluna really dreamed of something better but it seems like making the dream into reality is quite difficult. They’re building something called the Seeder (its mechanisms from none other than Emperor Osidis of Zhal) and the spore is spreading out and consuming Soluna. I’m so interested to see where this goes! I still can’t believe I thought Pigeon was the Foreman.

First of all, WHAT! Thirty years later! And Soluna is married to Pigeon (I’m guessing here, at first I thought he was the Foreman) and has two boys: Soll and Losl! And Beatrice works at a temple, this is all so interesting and totally unexpected. The world seems quite desolate now. The opening scene alone showed how the crops are failing, the people are starving and the plague runs rampant.
