Re-reading this 13+ years later. Surprised by how simple and crisp the writing is, and how much depth Katniss, Peeta, and especially Katniss’s mother already have in the first few chapters. Really touched by the early scene where Katniss sees the first dandelion of the year and finds the resources to grow up so quickly. Such an excellent book.
