I decided to DNF the book. There was too much meanness in the family. They loved each other, but they were too much for me. There was a dinner where one of the sons dropped his dinner trash on the lap of a brother's girlfriend. Then the mother called the lady trash and they were all cool with this except the brother who was the boyfriend. I had to quit.
