Wow. Phenomenal first couple of chapters, full of emotional and vivid real life stories from real people. I was particularly grabbed by his writing on Jaqueline du Pré, and was so moved I went and listened to her rendition of Elgar’s Cell Concerto in E Minor, which had me tearing up with goosebumps on the train. Very good start to this book so far!
