still very hooked, i love it a lot. I’m mildly confused at the timeline, has it been 3 years since the oppression began? Offred says her daughter must be 8 now and was 5 when shit hit the fan presumably unless i fucked up the timelines in my head. Either way i think it goes to show how much can change in such little time
loving this book

2:30am and i genuinely almost fell asleep with the book in my hand, i’m hooked
i love learning more about Offred’s background pre-oppression n stuff. also im confused is she “not in love” with the commander or with the guardian Nick ? I think it’s the commander but wtv

such a good book, i feel like it’s incredibly well written and it’s so captivating. I hate to say it but i think it’s an accurate depiction of where america could potentially be headed in the future. also maybe im crazy but do all the handmaids have their names changed when they become handmaids? To names that start with “Of” eg. Offred, Ofglen, Ofwarren….
