I wish there was more of a storyline, though I guess that’s the whole point, the universe has no story, no time, no real meaning. I adore the characters (what teensy morsels we get) and I wish there was more to them. The language is gorgeous and descriptive but I’m sorry… I don’t know how to picture Ireland from space. I am in love with the ideas explored in this book, but I only get 3 pages of it.

To start, the prose is beautifully descriptive and paints a colorful picture of earth and all of its facets. Describes her in an intimate way that you would a lover. But I can’t get behind the trend of not using quotation marks. Sorry! It bugs me. Also, there are so many lists. Just listing countries and oceans and islands… I’m starting to fall asleep.
