The people in the story CAN speak in past tense."The squad I just saw heading out..."
"Your mother sent those..."
"The Bhavajas took out my army..."
"I was supposed to tell you..."
but all wrapped in
I say
I ask
I yell
She says
She whispers
Jayd looks back. Ayad says something to her... I cannot hear it.
