The dialogue is so tedious, but I'm going to take as read "a bunch of ignorant mid-western elders who think they're being funny"

Narrator not making a great impression so far... In the distant sci-fi future, he's shocked that the army recruiter is a woman and doesn't smile more 😑
The recruiter for her part is being very patient with him, so I have hope more characters will be like her.
