It is quite interesting to see the difference between Martin and Ruby. It feels like Martin is more laid-back and is less worried than Ruby as he slept for far longer than Ruby. Also, it seems like Martin is more dangerous and strange than Ruby. As he stared at Ruby, she felt like her powers wanted to emerge and also, Martin wanted to use his powers instead of returning to life. The new character, Cate, intrigues me.

It would be quite scary to be in the shoes of Ruby as she's being sent to a government camp for surviving a deadly disease. It's interesting how it isn't a medical camp but instead, it's more of an experiment with horrible conditions. It reminds me of Nazi's work camps as both were inhumane and I believe that the author took inspiration from them. So far, it is quite intriguing and doesn't shy away from blood.
