'the shortest route to wealth is the contempt of wealth', and yet with it being so ever entangled in daily life, to the point that living depends on the quantity of it, makes it impossible.

translator's note: "...from sleeping with the emperor's mother (obviously the man had failed to learn his lesson from his thoroughly deserved banishment for seducing imperial princesses).." is diabolical. LOL.
