I love this book, but I keep having to stop and look up names of planets or people because I can't keep them straight.

It feels like when you're playing Stardew Valley for fun and then realize you're making a compendium of when all the fish need to be caught/under what conditions like it’s your job 🫠

“Eggs are so inadequate, don’t you think? I mean, they ought to be able to become anything , but instead you always get a chicken. Or a duck. Or whatever they’re programmed to be. You never get anything interesting, like regret, or the middle of the night last week.”

I looove a fully realized world (or is this universe-building??) in a book series. It makes every action feel more important and more real. I officially give a damn about teacups and plates.
