I enjoyed seeing Mia and Kim’s friendship dynamic and how Kim isn’t afraid to say her opinion about Mia trying to force her and Adam to be close and her feelings in general. I loved how Kim pointed out that she and Adam are still connected through the love that Mia has for both of them. I think Mia has a great friend that actively encourages her to not give up on her passion and pushes her to succeed in life.

I enjoyed knowing more about Mia’s friendship with Kim because it shows plot development for both the characters and it was really refreshing to see a friendship start like this. I think I may have misjudged how this book is meant to be written out. because I was confused and bored with the cheesy and disconnected stories but I think the author is laying out the past before talking about what future lies ahead.

In the first couple pages I read I didn’t find the book to be as enrapturing as I thought it’d be. In these pages I find Mia’s attitude towards being in the in-between-state of not quite alive but not quite dead either unusual and calm instead of dramatic and rushed. I feel she’s too calm and finds this too normal and the way the book’s written it feels like Mia is detached from the pain that surrounds her.
