decently visceral in its gore-- the pen through her eye was cool. still feels like a contemporary attempt at gothic classics; too much exposition to tell the story rather than a slow build up. makes me think of What Moves the Dead but a little less well put together.

still very much walking me to the point each time-- also likes to write out events that happened previously without any sort of preamble to these events so its hard to parse hem from the normal timeline. goopey is the best way to describe the vibes & reading & honestly i like it a little. still 3.5 stars
