This story about Splits creating more people from previous times in a person’s timeline faintly reminded me about Julia Armfield’s short story about sleep.

Omg the best story of a robot as a surrogate mother and then battling for custody after the birth parents are dead. I can see this one as a TV episode.

An abandoned android finds a way to be of service to life after its owner left it behind.

This story by a series of emails was deeply uncomfortable to read as an educational board implemented replacing teachers with AI. But at least there was universal basic income at the end! 🙃

Oof this one from the robot’s perspective shows the frivolous nature of people chasing the next new shiny and the technology that falls to the side along the way.
