Am I supposed to dislike the narrator the more I read because between her being in her 50s and falling for a “not like other girls” line (gross) and the flashback where her 29 year old self refers to the place “where Roman Polanski had sex with that underaged girl” - you mean drugged and raped- she’s kind of becoming unbearable. Yes, people grow but it seems like she hasn’t, actually …
