I also have to note that I'm not finding Huxley's voice particularly resourceful in this reading. He gives us various quotes (out of context) and then attempts to draw an invisible line between them that I find really hard to see at this point in my reading.

I'm having an extremely tough time getting through this one. It may be the way it's put together that's making me have to pause and reconsider how I approach reading this book. What Huxley endeavors to do (unify religious beliefs under one philosophical idea) is admirable, but (so far) to call this book "the most needed book in the world" (NY Times), is a bit of a stretch. I'm going to keep reading it though!
