Amber and Lacey don't know what the issue is with their makeup, so Sherry decides to help them because she has a talent in solving mysteries. On page 42, Lacey thanks Sherry and says, "I needed your help. Desperately. Thank you."

Sherry learns how to cope with fear. One day, Sherry dropped her purse in a dumpster and to retrieve her belonging, she went into the dumpster. As she was climbing out, the lid slammed shut, the bolt rasped, and Sherry became trapped. Sherry screamed for help but nobody heard her and she did not have her cellphone in her pocket. On page 277, Sherry revealed, "I started to cry, because the situation is beyond dire."
