Valentina’s Reviews > My Brilliant Friend > Status Update

Not only is the story the most beautiful thing you’ve ever read, but I manages to encapsulate thoughts and emotions of love and anger in the most beautiful way I have ever read.

You truly can see the quality of writing by taking a break and coming back, incomparable.

It’s an autobiography
I find more of me the more I read

These chapters are very Lana Del Rey coded

I think being Latina is close enough to Italian

Wow
Just absolutely wow
It’s like looking at yourself
I’m trying my best not to self insert and enjoy, but wow. I’m time traveling

It’s like reading my own mind, even more intimate and specific than a diary

At first I was so impacted by the accuracy of my own life, that it was difficult for me to confront that. I’m amazed at the vivid storytelling she’s achieved. I love this book so much
